About The Service
Women’s Health
Our experienced practitioners can offer assessment and treatment within our women’s health clinic relating to health, pregnancy, postnatal difficulties, incontinence and any sexual or reproductive concerns. We can also offer tailored, personalised care during pregnancy to delivery and beyond.
Bare Motion has women’s health and continence physiotherapists who specialise in the rehabilitation of pelvic muscles. The pelvic floor muscle sits at the base of the pelvis and are important for bladder and bowel continence, low back/pelvic and pelvic organ support as well as sexual function. They may be stretched and weakened by pregnancy, childbirth or heavy lifting and even hormonal changes during menopause. In men prostate surgery can result in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Pelvic floor problems are very common. As many as one in three women and one in ten men have urinary leakage and is worst among the elderly. It can cause emotional distress and can prevent someone from participating in exercise, social activities and levels of intimacy. You can successfully treat pelvic floor problems with a personalised pelvic health program designed by one of our physiotherapists during you visit to our women’s health clinic.
A significant percentage of people can see improvements with consultation, together with treatment and exercise with a specialised continence physiotherapist.

We have a Mindray Z5 diagnostic real-time ultrasound machine which helps us to assess your muscle weakness in your pelvic floor area, abdominals, hip and gluteal musculature as well as your back extensors.
Harmless ultrasound waves can give us detailed information about the internal structure of your body, revealing more about muscle, tendons or connective tissue damage. The ultrasound machine used within our women’s health clinic is one of the most effective ways of investigation to review stability and strength of certain muscles.
Our physiotherapists in Perth are trained to use ultrasound as a tool to retrain the muscles for incontinence and pelvic floor weakness, over-activity and deal with incontinence problems, pelvic instability and lower back pain.

Cryo Suite
Cryotherapy is a form of treatment which uses extreme cold for therapeutic effect and is beneficial for those who may have arthritic, musculoskeletal and dermatological conditions as well as ongoing headaches and migraines.
Read moreBare Motion is a rare, medically certified cryotherapy sauna in Perth and we are fully trained on how to use it, so patients can have peace of mind and experience the huge benefits from this treatment. Most cryotherapy clinics in Perth are operated without medically trained staff and without a treatment plan in mind, making them potentially quite dangerous.
The body will automatically respond to the cold reducing inflammation and stimulating collagen production. It also aids muscle tension making it easier for our physiotherapist to undertake any manipulation on your body.
Our Juka Cryosauna is a superior model. On entering the cabin sauna, you will be submerged to your shoulders with your head out of the cold area enabling you talk to your health practitioner at all times. Treatment times vary from one to three minutes and temperatures range from -120C to -150C.
Cryotherapy can also be used for specific areas for skin problems or joint issues. It’s administered through a hose known as an ‘Elephant’ on the inflamed region increasing blood flow and easing any arthritic conditions.
